Louisiana Plant Explosion Leaves Dozens Injured

Dozens of people are injured in Geismar, Louisana after an explosion caused a fire at a petrochemical plant 20 miles south of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Although early test around the plant have not shown any dangerous levels of chemicals coming from the plant according to Jean Kelly, spokesman for the State Department of Environmental Quality. However, for precaution authorities told CNN that local residents within a two-mile radius of the area have been told to remain indoors with all doors and windows closed.

Kelly didn't have further information on the extent of injuries caused by the explosion and fire but did state that three to four people were air lifted from the plant and another 30 were taken by ground ambulance.
