Detectives Shot In Mid-City Los Angeles

Two officers were shot Tuesday morning in the mid-city area of Los Angeles. The officers were ambushed as they used their key cards to access the department garage.

The motive for the shooting is currently unknown, however, a manhunt for the suspect is underway as officers have sectioned off a 25 block radius to locate the suspect.

Residents of the mid-city area are being told to stay inside for their safety as the investigation is underway. No resident is being allowed to attend work or school while police search the area.

Currently four people have been detained with potential knowledge of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
