Selena Gomez, 20, and Jaden Smith, 14, were spotted leaving a star-studded dinner in London this past week. Gomez, clad in a trendy black jacket and floor length sheer dress, tried to be discreet as she exited the restaurant with trendsetter Smith in tow. The pair appeared rather friendly as they walked down the U.K. block so closely together.

Albeit this new friendship is cute, the age difference between the two stars does provoke some questions. After recently establishing herself as a more mature artist (from her latest role in "Spring Breakers" to her new flirtatious single "Come and Get It"), it seems a little strange that Gomez would be seeking the companionship of the talented, but notably younger, "After Earth" star. Unless, it wasn't companionship that she was seeking, but possibly advice?

It's no secret that Gomez has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with popular singer Justin Bieber, nor is it under wraps that the Biebs and Smith have a close bond. After Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber shared that unexpected kiss backstage only two weeks prior at the Billboard Music Awards, one can't help but speculate if she consulted with the young Smith on how to go about her capricious romance with Bieber.

Well, if Gomez wasn't inquiring how to better handle her love life, maybe the duo met up for professional reasons. Will Smith and actor Jeff Townes were also said to be in attendance, so Gomez and the teenage Smith could have been receiving advice about their own budding careers from the elder, established actors. Either way, whether it was professional table talk or some friendly relationship gossip, it appears there can only be good results from this quaint London meeting!
