On Monday, around 80-100 students gathered at Tommy Trojan to protest the Los Angeles Police Department's alleged excessive use-of-force while shutting down a predominately African American party.

79 officers, many of them dressed in riot gear, responded to the noise complaint on 23rd and Hoover early Saturday morning. At least 6 party-goers were arrested.

Anthony Stewart, a student from Santa Monica College, said the police detained for an hour early Saturday morning before letting him go.

"I sat there in the cop car the whole entire time and listened to the whole conversation on the radio," said Stewart, "them laughing about stepping on the girl, them laughing about blocking everybody off -- 'Oh they're not leaving? Let's just start arresting them!'"

Stewart still has imprints on his wrists from the way the police handcuffed him on Saturday. He also has scratches on his neck and a wound on his shoulder.

"While I was in the police car, I prayed outloud while we were listening to the radio" Stewart continued.

"When I was done with the prayer, the officer got out of the car, turned the radio off and slammed the door."

Here are some of the scenes that took place during today's sit-in protesting the LAPD's handling of Saturday's situation:
