Dr. Drew Pinsky is not pursuing another season of "Celebrity Rehab" (Vh1).

In a recent radio interview with Zach Sang and the Gang, Pinsky explained that he no longer wants to be blamed for the deaths of his star-studded cast and is “tired of taking all the heat.”

Critics of the Vh1 show have accused the physician of exploiting celebrities for his show, using the deaths as evidence that he could not cure them and instead made his patients worse. Others claim the show is fake.

“I’m tired. It’s very stressful and very intense for me,” Pinsky stated. “To have people questioning my motives and taking aim at me because people get sick and die because they have a life-threatening disease, and I take the blame?”

Rodney King, “Taxi” actor Jeff Conaway, Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr, “Real World” cast member Joey Kovar, and country singer Mindy McCready (who recently took her own life in February) have all passed away after being on “Celebrity Rehab.”

“These are really sick people, that’s why they die,” the doctor said. “It’s sad that we’re not doing more shows because people did get help. A lot of people are sober because of ‘Celebrity Rehab’ who wouldn’t have been sober without it.”

Pinsky says he will continue to work with his patients and host his talk show “Dr. Drew on Call” on the HLN channel.
