International soccer star, David Beckham, 38, is retiring at the end of the season and ending his 20-year career.

In an interview with CNN Beckham said that he was ready to retire and felt very fortunate to have had such an accomplished career.

Beckham has played for United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

"If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100 times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy," Beckham told The BBC. "I'm fortunate to have realized those dreams.”

In his career Beckham has won 29 trophies including 10 league titles. He is also the only British soccer player to win in four different countries.
