A House hearing investigating the aftermath of the Benghazi attack that killed a U.S. ambassador and three others began Wednesday.

The session is expected to focus on how the Obama administration handled the aftermath of the attacks. Three current State Department employees will likely testify on points that "differ from what the Obama administration has said about the incident," adding that the administration has not been "cooperative" in getting answers about the attacks.

The witnesses are expected to follow Republican assertions that the Obama administration altered talking points after the attacks, making them untrue and confusing the public.

A State Department "whistleblower" is expected to testify former U.S. secretary of State Hillary Clinton was involved in the decision not to classify the attack as terrorism.

Democrats on the House committee called the hearing "nothing more than a political charade."
