  • Cream cheese - $2.99
  • Maple Turkey Breast - $4.99
  • Alfalfa Sprouts - $0.50

What to do:

Coconut and Oatmeal Drop-Cookies: $5.47

These cookies won’t melt in the sun, and the coconut adds a nice kick! Most of these ingredients should be basics in your kitchen - like flour, sugar and butter - which makes these cookies even easier to bake.

What you might not have in your kitchen:

  • Package of coconut - $2.99
  • Old Fashioned Oats - $2.48

What to do:

Follow this recipe from the Food Network. Cut it in half to save money, time and calories!

Melon: $2.99

What to do:

Pre-cut the melon into pie-sized pieces before leaving for the beach so they will travel easily and you don't have to worry about a sandy knife.

Total cost of picnic: $19.23 + tax

Remember to wrap everything in foil for an even easier and no clean-up picnic!
