Here in Los Angeles, when the sun goes down, the sky may be too foggy for the stars to come out, but the hottest people do. And in the 'City of Angels', they are dressed to kill. Whether you are planning on dancing with your girls at 'Drai's', catching an amazing view downtown at 'The Standard', or partying with stars at 'Greystone', it is imperative that your outfit screams fabulous. So what do you wear to look the part? Here are a couple of trends to keep your eyes peeled for when you are out shopping for this weekend’s outfit.

Bright Colors

It's spring time, so don't be afraid to pull out those electric, shocking blues, fire-burning reds, and show-stopping yellows. Don’t get too crazy with the colors, though. Stick to one or two that really pop and enhance those with neutral accessories that compliment. Pick too many colors and you will look more rave-ready than eyecatching.

Also, make sure the color works for your skin tone. You don't want to be washed out in an electric blue if your skin works with a show-stopping yellow, and vice versa!

Statement Shoe

The first part of your outfit that steps into the club is your shoes, so why not make your entrance a statement?

Shoes are an extremely important part of your outfit, and the wrong ones can send that beautiful Givenchy you splurged on right down the path to tacky nation. Be a pro-heel girl; the higher the better.

Nothing says statement like long legs towering over your competition for the night. Steer away from the full-on holiday sequined heels that were hot in the winter, and try something new like an optical-illusion-creating transparent heel, a metallic or metal toe cap, or hop on the vintage bus with a pointy toe.

LBD

Black is sexy, slimming, and versatile. There are endless possibilities to the LBD. One current trend is a huge, busy necklace with a simple black dress and a pair of statement shoes.

Eyes will instantly be attracted to your neck and work their way down the dress to your shoes, which should make an equal statement. One necklace trend recently set by J-Law at the Oscars was the backwards necklace, which would go great with an LBD.

Cut outs are also very sexy with the LBD, but make sure to keep the cuts tasteful. Too many cutouts can lead to skin overload. Check out Herve Leger’s Summer Collection for tasteful cutouts here.

Party on, Ladies.
