USC wide receiver Robert Woods was selected by the Buffalo Bills during the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday. Woods was the 41st overall pick in the draft.

An All-American in 2011, Woods is the fifth wideout taken in this year's draft, making 76 catches for 846 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2012. The Bills also selected Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel in the first round and Oregon linebacker Kiko Alonso with the 46th pick.

The Bills entered the draft needing a No. 2 wide receiver to line up opposite sixth-year starter Stevie Johnson after the team failed to re-sign David Nelson and Donald Jones. He is considered a likely candidate for a starting position this fall.

Other notable picks in the second round are Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o by the San Diego Chargers and West Virginia QB Geno Smith by the New York Jets.
