The word Coachella stirs up thoughts of listening to music and dancing in the blazing sun, while staying cool in denim cutoffs and lace crop-tops.

This festival has come to be known as the ultimate destination for one of the best blends of fashion and music.

Thursday night, April 12th, Untapped Fashion and Music kicked off the Coachella weekend festivities with their 'Red Carpet Fashion Gala' hosted at SUR in West Hollywood.

The lounge was full of life as guests were greeted by a dimly lit and colorful atmosphere of fashion, energy and music.

While heart-pounding music from Coachella’s performers was spun by DJ Eurphoric, a number of designers from all over the globe showed off their Coachella-inspired Spring/Summer 2013 collection pieces.

The intimate setup gave guests the opportunity to personally mingle with the designers, take photos on the red carpet and party with the models.

Designers included Project Runway’s Gordana Gehlhausen and her GOGA line, which she sells in her Santa Monica Boutique. Most of her models posed and mingled in long gowns of beautiful spring colors

Other designers like Christina Castillo along with sponsers including Nooka, Ihome, Pop Chips, and the Crescent Beverly Hills Hotel graced the event with a plethora of Coachella-inspired designs and products.

Untapped Fashion and Music created the event in efforts to promote the designers as well as to support the 'F Cancer Foundation' while celebrating the fashion and music elements of Coachella by featuring a number of fabulous designers.
