Two Dead In Calabasas From Small Airplane Collision
After a thorough investigation at the scene of Mondays's deadly plane crash in the Santa Monica Mountains near Calabasas, officials have determined that two people are now dead from the crash, the L.A. Daily News is reporting.
Two Cessna airplanes collided in mid-air on Monday afternoon, and while one pilot managed an emergency landing onto a golf course, the other pilot and his passenger were not as fortunate and crashed into the mountainside.
Officials originally believed just one pilot had died, but a second body was found this morning as firefighters contained a fire that the plane crash sparked.
The three individuals in the other plane were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
The pilot and passenger who were killed have not yet been identified.
