What To Pack In Your Stagecoach Bag
You have your Jack. You have your boots. You have everything you could possibly need for Stagecoach, right? Wrong. Luckily, with the three day country music festival just weeks away, there is still plenty of time to acquire all the necessities for a whiskey-fueled weekend in the desert. Following is a list of the ten must-haves for a successful 2013 Stagecoach this April 26-28 in Indio.
Something about country music just makes people feel patriotic.Stars and stripes bikinis for basking in the sun. American flag sweaters for the evenings when the desert finally cools down. Red, white and blue booty shorts for the daytime. Shoot for the stars (and stripes), so to speak.
Nothing is off limits when it comes to patriotic outerwear. Just don't bring an actual American Flag, because those are on the list of prohibited items.

9. TOWEL
If you find yourself wanting to sit down at any point during the three day festival, having a towel allows you the luxury of claiming some space for your own while avoiding the scratchy touch of grass on your bare legs.
Bring enough towels to share!
This one should go without saying. Wear them.
7. COWBOY HAT
Three days in the desert means three days in the sun. The wide brim of a cowboy hat will prevent harsh sunburn while keeping you looking cute and country.
6. SUNSCREEN
Reapply. Reapply. Reapply. NOTE: If you forget this essential, there will be bottles available for sale at the venue.
5. SUNGLASSES
Go for the cheapest pair of sunglasses you can find. These will save you from the sun where your sunscreen and cowboy hat fail, but when you lose them during a show, or set them down and forget to pick them up when changing locations, you’ll be happy you didn’t bring your most expensive pair.
After spending an hour waiting in line for a porta-potty, there is nothing worse than realizing the bathroom is out of toilet paper. And it will be. Do yourself a favor, and pack an extra roll or three for the weekend.
3. ALCOHOL
I challenge you to listen to even one country song without hearing mention of whiskey or beer. The three are inseparable.
So stock up on your favorite American Whiskeys [Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, or Maker’s Mark, to name a few] and your beer of choice, and break into these before and after the concerts each day.
However, you technically cannot bring your own alcohol onto festival grounds which brings me to the next item you’ll need- cash.
2. MONEY
Bring Cash. Lots of it. Cards will not be accepted at any booth. Once inside the festival gates, you will want water. For this you will need cash. You will want food. For this you will need cash. You will want alcohol. For this you will also need cash.
Of course, if you forget cash, there will be ATMs at your disposal, but after the hour-long line you just waited in to go to the bathroom, do you really want to wait in another just to get cash so you can wait in line for a lemonade? I didn’t think so.
1. WRISTBAND
Finally, the most important thing to remember – your wristband, aka festival ticket. After all, if you can’t actually get into the festival the rest of this list is kind of irrelevant. Triple-check before you leave that you and everyone in your group has their wristband, and get ready for an amazing weekend!
