Although chaotically situated and difficult to maneuver, miles of walking through the discombobulated desert proved worthwhile for country fans. Walking through the pat-down area, concert-goers were greeted by the famous Coachella Valley ferris wheel. Stars Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, and Darius Rucker, as well as 42 other more obscure artists played through the 110 degree heat. Cowboy hats and boots, flag prints, and white lace were common themes for attire. Charging stations kept Iphones full for updating Twitter, and the Toyota Fun Tent gave concertgoers shade from the heat. During the day, the Barbecue Competition was a main attraction. 32 teams competed, selling mainstays of brisket, pulled pork and steak tips. As the sun set, headliners Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band played while the ferris wheel lit up the sky.
