Senate Passes Bill To Ease Congestion At Airports

As of late Thursday, the Senate approved a bill to give the Transportation Department increased flexibility for their spending budget thus allowing them to redirect as much as $253 million towards increasing staffing levels in the country's airports.
The serpentine lines at U.S. airport security and delays in flights were some of the most acutely felt consequences of the sequester cuts instituted by the federal government on March 1, 2013. These cuts furloughed air-traffic controllers who were made to take a day off every 10 days.
The Washington Post reported that the bill will move to the GOP-controlled house next.
