China's Leader Expresses Concern Over North Korea
Chinese President Xi Jinping called for peace between China and its neighbors Sunday at the annual Boao Forum in China, and addressed the unease over North Korean tensions saying that no country should be allowed to threaten world peace.
Xi made remarks about North Korea without mentioning exact names but instead referencing the recent missile threats alleged by the communist country. China’s leader was the last to comment on the threats while the world awaited his take on the situation.

According to the New York Times, in his speech Jinping said:
“No one should be allowed to throw a region and even the whole world into chaos for selfish gain.”
At the conference that took place in the island province of Hainan, Xi talked about his plans to develop the country’s economy saying the average income for rural and urban Chinese will double from what they were in 2010 by increasing exports to its wealthy neighbors.

According to Reuters, Xi was optimistic about China’s future saying it would involve a message of peace and growth in the coming years.
