Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev's uncle Ruslan Tsarni gave a press outside his home in the Maryland suburb of Montgomery Village. Tsarni repeatedly emphasized that he, his children and his brother did not share the suspects' worldview.

"They have never been in Chechnya," Tsarni said, addressing speculation that the brothers' actions were motivated by the conflict in the Russian territory,"This has nothing to do with Chechnya. Chechens are different, Chechens are peaceful people."

Tsarni told reporters that the brothers were born in Kyrgyzstan.

Asked what he thought had provoked the brothers' actions, their uncle responded, "Being losers. Hatred to those who were able to settle themselves...these are the only reasons I can imagine."

Ruslan Tsarni added, "Anything else to do with religion, with Islam, is a fraud. It's a fake."

The suspects' uncle asserted that the boys had no military training. "Somebody radicalized them," he said, "but it's not my brother...who spent his life bringing bread to their table."

"Dzhokhar, if you are alive, turn yourself in and ask for forgiveness," Tsarni said.
