The small-screen has experienced many turbulent fights, from bickering reality TV stars to old-school Disney bickering to political discrepancies. Who were the winners and the losers? Neon Tommy takes a look at some of the raunchiest and the nearly forgotten feuds between rival TV stars.

Edie Britt v. Susan Delfino, “Desperate Housewives”

Their conflict began when a cute new neighbor named Mike Delfino moved in on Wisteria Lane. After both women set their sights on him, all became fair in love and war. Mike showed interest in Susan, which infuriated Edie. Later, it is discovered that Edie slept with Susan’s ex-husband Karl Mayer, triggering Susan’s underlying jealousy. As would be expected with “Desperate Housewives,” the feud led to both women burning each other’s houses down (though Edie’s house was by accident). After several seasons, Edie tragically dies and her son tells Susan and her other housewife friends that his mother considered them as her closest friends (Huh?). Susan emerges as the winner of this feud because she got the man and had a family with him. Edie, on the other hand, resorted to sleeping with a shameful amount of men on the Lane.

New York v. Everyone, “Flavor of Love”

Contestant Tiffany “New York” Pollard took over “Flavor of Love” with her dramatic antics, larger-than-life personality, and absolute determination to get her man Flavor Flav. She made it clear she was not there for friends and the other girls vying for Flav’s attention did not take her attitude well. For the entire first season, she was the center of drama and she loved it. Then, when she reentered the competition halfway through the second season, she was met with a new group of equally disgusted girls. Every week was a new battle involving New York’s sneakiness, plenty of waving arms, hair flipping, and lots of shouting. In the end, New York was the runner-up for both seasons and the other girls were long-gone before her. New York is the clear winner, because her outlandish ways landed her a reality dating show of her own and the other girls’ names have since been forgotten.

Spencer Hastings v. Mona Vanderwaal, “Pretty Little Liars”

On a show with so much intensity and drama, Spencer and Mona’s direct bickering was the subject of season 3. Most of the feuding on the show was done through the anonymity of “A,” a team that included Mona, but Spencer and Mona engaged in direct conflict and their action was cutthroat. Mona goes after Spencer’s title as Captain of the academic decathlon team and succeeds, which slowly pushes Spencer over the edge of a mental breakdown. When Spencer discovers that her boyfriend Toby is a part of A with Mona, she breaks down completely. However, Toby reveals he is working against Mona and the couple retaliates against Mona, leaving her defeated. As turbulent as this feud was, Spencer emerged with her man by her side and her mental crash healed, while Mona seems taken down (at least temporarily). We’ll have to wait til season 4 to see who the clear winner is.

Raven Baxter v. Alana Rivera, “That’s So Raven”

Before the Cheetah Girls existed, Disney Channel had Raven Symone and Adrienne Bailon as former-best-friends-turned-rivals on “That’s So Raven.” The two were close until the 4th grade, when they competed for the role of Tooth Fairy and Raven won. During their rivalry, Alana bullies Raven with her posse of two followers. Raven later put gum in Alana’s hair, requiring her to shave her head. The two try to hash their differences on a couple of occasions, but complications prevented them from regaining their best friends status. Later on, it is revealed that Alana was sent to military school, automatically making her the loser and Raven the winner of this feud.

Angelina Pivarnick v. Everyone, “Jersey Shore”

Oh, Angelina. This attention-craving reality “star” lasted three episodes on season one of “Jersey Shore.” She came back for season two, but left after violently fighting with the beloved Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. This reject was unpopular with everyone in the house and her attitude earned her no one’s respect or friendship. Even after the show, she was bashed by her former costars for her anti-gay marriage views. Since her time at the Shore was cut so short and she missed out on the thousands of dollars that her fellow roommates cashed in on every week, she is the obvious loser of this feud.

Jon Stewart v. Fox News Channel, “Fox News Sunday”

It is no secret that Jon Stewart is outspoken against the ways of the conservative Republican Party. After being interviewed by Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday,” Stewart accused the Fox News Channel of selectively editing his interview to make him sound deranged. He continues to harbor resentment towards Fox and they return the animosity. On his show “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” he pokes fun at them regularly and makes jokes out of what their talking heads say. Fox, on the other hand, remains a top network. Who is the clear winner of this ongoing feud? It is difficult to say… Perhaps this one ends in a stalemate for now.
