Valentino’s lineup for Paris Fashion Week featured fairytale masterpieces by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. The two beautifully created a collection full of magic and embroidered detailing.

The collection primarily used blue (an excellently rich contrast to the lace embroideries on Valentino’s dresses), red, beige, and black tones to compliment its heavy usage of lace, fur, and leather. In this case, too much of a good thing was absolutely not overwhelming.

Models came down the runway in short collared dresses, barely-there peplum, long flashy gowns, and tons of embroidered floral. They all sported simple side braids and – thankfully – wore their makeup lightly.

Aside from a handful of bags, noticeable accessories proved to be unnecessary for this collection.

The long gowns in the lineup were the most gorgeous pieces, gliding effortlessly down the runway with stunning beauty.

Some were constructed as legitimate “ready-to-wear” pieces, while others were full-on costumes straight from the sets of Hollywood fairytale remakes.

Both, to say the least, were equally appealing.

Each one looked like it could be used in an episode of “Once Upon A Time” or “Grimm.” At the same time, the dresses can also be imagined on the red carpet, such as when the stars sported Valentino at the Grammys and Oscars.

There are really no complaints to be made on the spectacular quality that Valentino’s collection showed at Paris Fashion Week.

Every cut, color, and intricate detailing done on the outfits was phenomenal. The looks were feminine and impressive.

The two designers responsible for the collection should take great pride in creating a collection so enchanting and memorable. Valentino was truly one of the collections that held its own at Paris Fashion Week this season.
