The latest installment of "Revenge" revealed more about Emily's time in foster care. By the end of the episode, her relationship with Eli is more complex than even she knew.

And Mason Treadwell returns to make a valuable revelation!

The episode begins with Emily doing research about her former foster siblings. Aiden cautions Emily about getting to close to Eli. She says she could never hurt him- a statement that seems a slight diversion from the end of last episode where the two were volatile with one another.

For now it seems she and Eli have found a way to work together. He surprises her by giving her a letter her father had sent to her in foster care, which she had never received. Eli convinces her there are more letters and that they must go back to the foster home in order to reclaim them.

Conrad Grayson's political campaign is not doing well. His numbers are down, with the exception of a small bump he received after announcing the Amanda Clarke Foundation and appearing publicly with Jack Porter. That nugget of information becomes important later in the episode.

Padma received a video message from his father tied up and pleading for her help. She rushes to Nolan and asks for his help delivering Carrion and rescuing her father. He says he will do anything to help, but that he will need reinforcements.

Eli arrives at Grayson Manor for a breakfast meeting about the Amanda Clarke Foundation. He surprises Victoria by inviting Emily to the meeting. Eli explains that as Co-chair of the foundation, he has asked Emily to support him. Victoria is not thrilled.

Aiden is upset about a lack of progress in Grayson Global. He is looking handsome as always, though. In the meantime he turns his attention to the Initiative and helping Padma rescue her father. They plan to give the Initiative Carrion on a zip drive embedded with a tracking device. Aiden convinces Nolan that in order for Padma to be safe from the Initiative, she must leave the country and disappear after collecting her father. Nolan is sad, but obliges. He tells Padma the news in a somber scene in which they exchange I love you's and promise to reunite in the future.

Emily visits Jack to see how he's doing. He lies to her and says he doesn't care to keep chasing the Ryan brothers, and instead wants to focus on baby Carl. He has a volatile look in his eye and it's obvious he's just telling Emily what she wants to hear. Jack remains a wild card.

Emily and Eli conspire to expose Ms. Hayward, the woman who ran their foster home. We learn that she was abusive to the two as children, saying horrible things to them and locking them in a dungeon in her basement. They use the Amanda Clarke Foundation as a platform by which to meet with her and announce they the ACF will be donating substantial funds to keep the foster home financially afloat. Eli and Amanda have convinced Victoria and Conrad that this is a great way to kick off the foundation's charity work. They meet with Ms. Hayward at Hayward House to discuss logistics. While there, Emily sneaks off to the basement and is flooded with flashbacks of being locked up and abused. It strengthens her convictions to trounce Ms. Hayward.

Daniel goes out to lunch with Emily, putting the reservation under false name "Taylor", presumably to throw off the Initiative. At lunch, he shares with Emily the fact that Aiden is being lined up to take the fall for whatever terror the Initiative has planned. After the lunch, Daniel receives an urgent package to his office. Inside the envelope is a picture of Emily and Daniel at lunch and two shiny bullets. Daniel is alarmed, and seemingly believes the Initiative is behind this suggestive threat. Flashing to the Hamptons, we see Victoria tucking a box of silver bullets into her jewelry box- it was she who sent the envelope! She really does not want these two working together, and is yet again spying on her son. Charming.

Aiden and Nolan team up with Padma to help her deliver Carrion and retrieve her father unscathed, as she has received video proof that he is alive. The guys hide out on top of a building with long-range guns preparing to potentially shoot Mr. Trask and his driver. They listen to the conversation between Padma and Trask through an earpiece, and watch as she delivers Carrion and walks to the back of the SUV to collect her father. When the trunk of the SUV is opened, the guys' vision is obstructed and before they know it, she is thrown in the trunk and sped off. Nolan is furious at himself for not firing sooner.

At a press conference announcing the funding of Hayward House, Eli takes the stage to introduce the charity and relay his personal experience there. He uses the podium and press presence to tell the truth and reveal the horror that foster children at Haywood were subjected to, himself included. He has several other former foster kids in the audience stand up, as Ms. Hayward and Victoria look on horrified and flabbergasted. The audience is stunned by the news and the press conference seems to have gone completely off the rails - and then Ms. Haywood grabs the microphone and makes her own declaration. She seethes at Eli saying that it was really him who started the fire that burned down the foster home and sent Emily to juvi for five years. She alleges that he allowed Emily to take the blame, and by the look on his face, it appears her story is true.

In a private moment, he admits to Emily that he started the fire, but that he only did it to keep them together. Emily is deeply hurt and asks him if he realizes how much his actions changed the course of her life for the worse. He pledges to prove his allegiance to her, but she remains skeptical.

Nolan and Aiden break into an abandoned space where they hope to find Padma. Instead they find an empty box containing the tracking device and a note threatening "the head" of their friend. The note confirms that the Initiative knew Aiden and Nolan were watching all along. They were one step ahead of them and the danger is far greater than they suspected.

Jack is attempting to track down Kenny Ryan and find out what happened the night of the boat fire and Amanda's death. With Declan's help, he procures Kenny's phone number and meets with him in a park. During their meeting, Kenny reveals that Nate had recorded all of his conversations with Conrad Grayson when they were in negotiations. Jack convinces Kenny to let him listen to the tapes and begins to understand just how conniving and underhanded Conrad has been. Jack capitalizes on this moment of clarity by telling Conrad that he would like to help out with his campaign. Narcissist Conrad (not detecting Jack's volatitlity) is thrilled.

In attempt to win Emily's trust back, Eli goes to Hayward House to confront Ms. Hayward and give her a taste of her own medicine. He attempts to get back the missing letters from Emily's father and locks her in the dungeon until she admits that she sold the letters to Mason Treadwell. Eli delivers what appears to be a letter of confession and apology to Emily, it seems that he will respect her wishes and leave town.

Emily makes a visit to Mason in prison and exchanges witty banter with the writer. She reminds him that her needs her in order to write his next book. He concedes and divulges a juicy secret: Victoria Grayson has another son!!

A truly shocking revelation!! It will be exciting to see how this storyline develops. This certainly won't be great news for Conrad's campaign efforts.

Emily looked gorgeous in this episode. She always does, of course, but her wardrobe choices were unique this episode. Particularly how she was styled to go to the foster home. Very chic.

The gang seems to be in trouble regarding the Initiative. The group now has both Padma and her father in captivity. They are also now in possession of Carrion, a program Nolan has labeled as "deadly". Worse, the programmer working for the Initiative, "Falcon" is someone Nolan has said is they only person in the world smarter and better than him at coding. Emily apologizes to Nolan for being MIA during the Padma kidnapping. She gives him a pep talk and encourages him to keep fighting.

The next episode of "Revenge" promises a masquerade ball and a punch in the face for Victoria. Check out the video promo below.
