Rapper Lil Wayne Recovering In Hospital After Seizure Scare

“I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love,” Wayne tweeted.
The response from Wayne was prompted by TMZ's report, which had described the rapper's condition as near death from a codeine overdose and that he was in a medically induced coma. That began a flurry of activity on social media, particularly on Twitter where members of Wayne's Young Money label began refuting the report.
"Wayne is alive and well!. We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern," tweeted Young Money President Mack Maine.
"Dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!" Mack Maine added.
The 30-year-old rapper's spokeswoman Sarah Cunningham said in an email that "Lil Wayne is recovering," but did not specify what he was suffering from.
Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has suffered several unexplained seizures in the past few months, including two in January while on a plane flight.
Wayne had been hospitalized on Tuesday and released from the hospital Wednesday, before being readmitted the same day.
Fellow rapper Drake also arrived at Ceders-Sinai to visit Wayne, but did not comment Friday.
