Lindberg Backs Greuel
Mayor: Greuel
Attorney: Confidential
Controller: Confidential
9th District: Confidential
Zack Lindberg, a senior business major at The University of Southern California (USC), said he voted for Wendy Greuel for the next L.A. mayor. Although he acknowledged that the other candidates seemed qualified, Lindberg said Greuel had the best plan to benefit the city as a whole.
“She has a good record for cutting wasteful spending,” Lindberg said. “It looked like she was going to use those cuts to keep open meaningful resources for people who needed it, [resources] like after school programs. She’s cutting spending [in terms of] cell phones and upgraded airline tickets for city employees.”
Lindberg thought the mayoral race could be a close one, but was rooting for his candidate.
“I think it’s going to be close between Greuel and Garcetti, but hopefully Wendy can pull a victory,” he said.
While he preferred to keep his vote for the City Council 9th District candidate confidential, Lindberg made a simple statement regarding his vote on the proposed half-cent sales tax.
“I voted against that [the tax] because I think we’re taxed enough in California,” he said.
