The Denver Post reported that prosecutors asked Holmes and his attorneys to provide "specific access to information that would allow them to fully assess the Defendant and his alleged acts for purposes of determining a just outcome to this case."

Holmes and his attorneys repeatedly denied access to that information.

As a result, the prosecution is unlikely to accept Holmes' offer to plead guilty in exchange for a life sentence. This plea comes as a last-ditch effort to avoid the death penalty. On Monday, the prosecution will announce if they will seek the death penalty against Holmes.
