Cigarette Display Ban May Be Coming To New York City

The purported aim of the law would be to reduce the amount of cigarettes and other tobacco products purchased in New York City.
Bloomberg's other public health measures have included making New York one of the first cities in the U.S. to prohibit indoor smoking, banning the use of trans-fats in New York restaurants, and a recent failed attempt to limit the size of sugary drinks available for purchase.
The next campaign on deck will involve a volume limit on personal music players, according to the Huffington Post.
