BUILT Custom Burgers by The Counter will be opening in Downtown Los Angeles close to the USC campus on March 15.

The fast-casual burger joint will be launching its first location at 3584 Figueroa St. and will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Free on-site parking is available.

BUILT offers clientele a chance to create customizable creations in a faster and more convenient way, as it is considered the “next evolution” of The Counter, according to Jeff Weinstein, founder and co-CEO of The Counter.

“At BUILT, we’re giving our customers the same quality of ingredients and service they’d expect from The Counter, only in a quicker way to accommodate their on-the-go schedules,” Weinstein summarizes.

BUILT differs from The Counter in that the burgers are slightly smaller (all one-fourth pound patties), and available sauces and toppings are limited to best sellers from The Counter (rotating seasonal specials available as well). The biggest difference, however, between The Counter and BUILT lies in the latter’s burger bar. At The Counter, individuals usually customize their burger creations with all the fixings and receive their final products at the end of the process. But BUILT’s burger bar features a “build-as-you-go” assembly, during which customers can choose their burger elements and watch their ultimate sandwich be created.

To further accommodate those with busy schedules, BUILT also allows customers to create their burgers online and simply pick up their orders at the eatery.

Designed to cater to universities, colleges and airport locations with its fast service and convenience factor, BUILT plans to launch its second location in the San Diego International Airport later this year. Another location at the University of Miami is also in the works for 2014.
