On February 26, twelve household names will be announced on “Good Morning America.” These select twelve will become contestants on season 16 of the dance competition show “Dancing with the Stars,” which will premiere on March 18. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet will return as cohosts, but whom will be the twelve celebrities vying for votes with their smooth moves?

Ellen DeGeneres

With DeGeneres’ moves, it is shocking the show’s producers haven’t already approached her to be a contestant. DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi was offered a spot on season 12 of the show back in 2010, but she declined. DeGeneres may not be the type for glitzy ballroom dresses, but her fan base would surely advance her into the competition.

Eva Longoria

This spicy Latina revealed in an exclusive interview with Sheba that she has had a “passion for dancing” since she was five years old. With “Desperate Housewives” over and her Master’s Degree thesis turned in, the actress’ schedule has a valid opportunity to compete in “Dancing with the Stars.” Imagine her in a sultry gown, salsa dancing alongside Derek Hough!

Channing Tatum

Who could forget those killer moves from “Magic Mike”? The actor would never get a complaint from Len Goodman that he wasn’t moving his hips enough during a Cha Cha performance. Tatum has a busy professional schedule and is a soon-to-be daddy, but aren’t we allowed to dream?

Neil Patrick Harris

In all honesty, Harris would be an amazing candidate for the dance show. Did you catch his performance at the Tony Awards back in 2011? His natural aura would be a perfect match for the show, and think of the ratings! “How I Met Your Mother” fans would flood the hotlines every week to vote for the actor.

Ray Lewis

Now that Lewis has retired from the Baltimore Ravens, now seems like the perfect time for the linebacker to pick up a spot on the show. The athletes are usually really stiff at the start of the season, but Lewis could learn to move his hips if he were partnered with Karina Smirnoff or Cheryl Burke.

Emily Maynard

This former “Bachelorette” has a craving for the spotlight and really wants to keep herself relevant by being on “Dancing with the Stars.” HollywoodLife.com confirmed back in December that the reality star would be on the show. She has a lively personality and probably a plethora of moves, so who’s complaining?

Hilary Duff

She’s settled down quite a bit since her “Lizzie McGuire” days, but Duff definitely has what it takes to reenter the limelight and take the mirror ball trophy. She had some spectacular dance numbers as Lizzie, so a little practice can get her back in the game. Like the former singer once sang, “Why not?”

Stephen Colbert

The man is hilarious on his own; picture him trying to foxtrot and waltz on “Dancing with the Stars”! After seeing his “Harlem Shake” performance on “The Colbert Report,” the comedian has some impressive moves. Who knew Stephen Colbert had so much rhythm?

Erin Heatherton

This Victoria’s Secret model doesn’t have a family to take care of (Miranda Kerr) and isn’t outrageously famous (Adriana Lima), so she would be an ideal fit for a show like “Dancing with the Stars.” What better idea than to boost ratings using a gorgeous model that has the time to practice?
