Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb appeared at Santa Monica Place Saturday morning to an outdoor mall filled with enthusiastic fans. The co-hosts were taping the first of many broadcasts as the fourth hour heads to Los Angeles for two weeks worth of shows.

At Saturday morning’s taping, expected to air Monday, fans and shoppers alike were treated to popular segments including “Today’s Talk” and “Today’s Buzz.” Blake Shelton made time to talk to the ladies on Grammy weekend. In addition, one lucky audience member won a prize that’s too good to share now. (You have to tune in!)

The ladies are hitting the road after a month where alcohol was not allowed on their show between 10 and 11 a.m. The hosts, who are known to celebrate every morning with a splash of booze, promised Ladies Home Journal they would give up drinking during their show for one month in return for a spot on the magazine’s cover.

Fans are invited to see the show in person Sunday at 10 a.m. and 12 noon. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the show will move locations and begin filming at Universal City Walk throughout the day.

“TODAY” with Kathie Lee and Hoda airs Mondays-Fridays at 10 a.m.
