Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez returned to his country Monday following more than two months of cancer treatment in Cuba, according to the Associated Press.

Chavez announced his return on Twitter: "We've arrived once again in our Venezuelan homeland. Thank you, my God!!" he said.

He also thanked the Chavez brothers in Cuba for providing him with treatment, and thanked the Cuban people "for so much love."

Chavez has been undergoing cancer treatments for months, and the Venezuelan government said he is now breathing through a tracheal tube that makes it hard for him to talk.
