Ho! Hey! (Ladies). Tonight (or rather Sunday night), you’ve got to hold on, because Frank Oceans’s been thinking about you and Hunter is going to make you feel wanted. Swoon.

Girls might run the world (according to Mrs. Carter, who epically proved so at the Super Bowl) but the boys have taken over this year’s 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

Lest you think it's just gents, Alabama Shakes’s Brittany Howard and The Lumineers’s Neyla Pekarek hold it down for the ladies in the American rock and folk bands.

"Best New Artist" nominees The Alabama Shakes, Lumineers, Hunter Hayes, Fun., and Frank Ocean are up for the infamous gramophone and that’s not all the latter are nominated for.

It’s a big year for Fun., Ocean and is predicted to have a juggle moment, made famous by Adele in 2011.

Hip-hop sensation Frank Ocean is high in the running for Record Of The Year (“Thinkin Bout You”), Album Of The Year (“Channel Orange”), Best Urban Contemporary Album (“Channel Orange”), and Short Form Music Video (“No Church In The Wild”).

That leaves him and Fun. head to head in two categories.

Fun. isn’t too far behind the Ocean with six nominations: Record of the Year (“We Are Young”), Album Of The Year (“Some Nights”), Song of The Year (“We Are Young”), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“We Are Young”), Best Pop Vocal Album (“Some Nights”).

And while The Lumineer’s “Ho! Hey” song has been on repeat in TV shows, trailers and commercials, it’s more likely for them to walk away with their second nomination, for Best Americana Album--a commendable nod nonetheless.

Hunter Hayes also holds other nominations: A country solo performance nod for “Wanted” and a country album mention for his self-titled major label debut. Alabama Shakes aren’t far behind, with a second nomination for best rock performance for “Hold On."

It’s quite a tight and diverse group. But my bet’s on Frank.
