Now I understand why HBO leaked the fourth episode "It's A Shame About Ray" one week early...so we, well at least I, would have time to recover from all of the drama that occurs. Over very little music that is.

As Hannah prepares an "adult" Thai dinner for the usual suspects - Marnie (although she wasn't expected to show), Shoshanna, Ray, Charlie, and Audrey - things revert back to childishness really fast.

Regina Spektor's "Dont Leave Me" kicks off the drama as well as well Jessa and Thomas John's unpleasant dinner with his parents.

When the tune fades we return to a  much more adult conversation at Hannah's dinner party about sex, butt plugs and well, buttholes. The tension rises so much between Audrey and Marnie that the latter leaves, and to everyone's shock (except not at all), Charlie follows her to the rooftop.

But more importantly, Thomas John's parents strongly dislike Jessa, and the couple argues about it after they get home from dinner. Jess then leaves Thomas John with a bloody lip and $11,500 short, as Shoshanna recognizes that her boyfriend (13 years her senior) is homeless, hence why he's been shacking up with her.

A lot's changed. Hannah officially has her own place. Her and Marnie's friendship is on the rocks (well that's nothing new). Things beween Charlie and Marnie are a lingering mess. Shoshanna's "loser" boyrfiend expresses his love for her. And Jessa is getting a divorce.

Now that Hannah has traded baths with Marnie for baths with Jessa, only Oasis could smoothly cover all of these changes in the big city with "Wonderwall."

At least Hannah got her first story published!
