Sometimes, it’s not food you need--it’s nourishment. Nourishment for the body, mind and spirit. And that is where many restaurants fall short.

Angelenos, do not despair! Neon Tommy's got you covered. FEED: Body & Soul has entered the scene, and can easily be deemed one of the precious few restaurants that is not only healthy and organic, but also tasty. In fact, very tasty. It’s a win-win, so long as you’re willing to pay the cost of top-notch organic food.

FEED is located on Venice’s funky, feel-good Abbot Kinney Blvd. Open the hefty French doors and take a seat at a table or the massive square bar, smack-dab in the middle of the room. Chances are you’ll find yourselves drawn to the exquisite, contemporary Italian marble like a magnet. If beautiful, smooth stones aren’t your thing, the swanky hand-painted murals and sculptures set a luxurious mood for the equally luxurious meal you are about to enjoy.

Open FEED’s menu and you’ll swear each of the meals will give you magical powers (or at the very least, glowing skin and a happy heart). Every ingredient is organic and does not contain any refined sugar.

Breakfast beckons you towards acai fruit bowls with a myriad of toppings, among them: raw agave, ginger, hemp seed, honey, cacao and bee pollen. Enjoy with one of the many selections of seasonal fruit blends, smoothies, natural sodas, teas, coffees, or even health “shots.”

Lunch and dinner offer “savory bowls” which include any combination of grain mix, vegetable mix, and a sauce. For something more traditional, there are sandwiches with everything from salmon to fermented vegetables to pork. Of course, healthful soups and salads are also prominent.

Food is fuel. We often forget this, but FEED: Body & Soul pulls us back to the mindful appreciation of what we eat.
