Eight Robbers Pull Off $50 Million Diamond Heist

Eight masked robbers in Brussels just made Brad Pitt and George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven look like amateurs. 

In just three minutes early Monday morning the heavily armed robbers in two different vehicles crashed through a fence at the Brussels airport. They then stole safes full of diamonds as they were being loaded on to an airplane bound for Switzerland. There were no gunshots. 

An airport spokesmen, Jan Van Der Crujsee told The Guardian that the robbers broke through the perimeter fence and then drove up to the Swiss plane. And after flashing their weapons they took the safes of precious jewels. 

Van Der Crujsee said he was perplexed at how the heist could have occurred. “We abide by the most stringent rules,” he said
