The Orange County Sheriff's department idenified 20-year-old Ali Syed as the shooter responsible for three deaths in Orange County Tuesday morning.

Syed, a student at Saddleback College with no prior criminal record, killed a woman at his home in Ladera Ranch around 4:45 A.M. Tuesday  and would later kill two other people during carjackings in and around Tustin. Two other people were hospitalized as a result of the shootings.

After performing at least two carjackings and with police close to apprehending him, Syed would turn his shotgun on himself in the city of Orange and commited suicide.

None of the victims have yet been identified, though co-workers confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that at least one of the victims was a plumber.
