Jaynay MacFarland, an 18-year-old mother of a three month old son, was shot dead on her way to the store as her sister listened to President Obama speak on Gun Violence Friday.

Angela Blakely, the mother of MacFarland and Warren, said they were anticipating Obama's visit to Chicago and Warren's High School as she answered questions about the death of Chicago teen Hadiya Pendleton. Now her focus is on police capturing the shooter who took her daughters life.  She told the Chicago Tribune:

"It's terrible, it's terrible the only thing I can remember is my daughter telling me, 'Mommy, it's so sad about Hadiya. That makes no sense,' " Blakely said. "She always asked me a lot of questions about death." “I’m just hoping that they do find out who did this to my baby, so they can pay for the crime they committed,” she said.

An 18-year-old and 20-year-old are being questioned in McFarlane's homicide investigation. It is is still unclear if the two are potential suspects or only key witnesses.
