For years now, the music scene has been crammed with solo artists fighting to make a name for themselves - we have the young rising stars, one-hit wonders, and ex-band members who have chosen separate paths. Where, oh where, have all the classic girl groups and boy bands gone? With the recent news of a Destiny's Child reunion underway, we've gotten to thinking…for old time's sake, what other groups would we want to see back together for another album? Check out our top 5 list below!

5. Danity Kane

The ladies of Danity Kane first came together through MTV's reality television series "Making The Band 3" in 2004, though they didn't make their official debut until 2006. They were widely known for being personally chosen and mentored by artist and producer Diddy. Danity Kane's flashy debut single "Show Stopper" was a head-turning track that was followed by more mellow pop songs such as "Ride For You" and "Damaged." Though the group didn't make it far due to internal problems and officially disbanded in 2009, they were a daring change from all of the familiar girl groups we'd seen before.

4. Fall Out Boy

Remember when the radio's favorite tune to replay was "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" and "Dance Dance"? This is a tough one - though Fall Out Boy have never claimed to be disbanded, their indefinite hiatus still has us guessing that a Fall Out Boy reunion is far from happening any time soon. The pop rock band was known for releasing hit after hit before the band members decided to pursue solo careers. With the success that frontman Patrick Stump has been earning through collaborations with bands such as Gym Class Heroes, and the solo activities the rest of the members have been promoting, Fall Out Boy has been on hiatus since 2009 with no immediate plans to make music as a group again. Rumors of a reunion circulated in 2012, but I guess we can only hope to be hearing new music from them in the future!

3. S Club 7

Before One Direction became everyone's favorite English pop band, there were seven guys and girls who came from England and established their own sound in America - S Club 7! Most known for their earlier hits "Bring It All Back" and "S Club Party," S Club 7 was a co-ed band with a unique mixture of 7 different concepts and personalities. Their bright image and upbeat songs made them the childhood favorites of many young kids back in the day. Maybe it's because all we seem to be hearing is electro-pop or house music on air these days, but don't you miss the innocent pop sound of the early 2000s?

2. TLC

We can't forget the biggest hip-hop/R&B trio that made their mark with their "CrazySexyCool" album and classic hits like "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs." Though now we're dominated by the music of Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne, the ladies of TLC had an original soul/R&B sound and songs that were never without a heartening message. With the tragic death of member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, TLC halted their group activities and have not released new music since 2005 (though they have performed as a duo and made several television appearances). Their last album "Now and Forever: The Hits" was a compilation album of all of their most memorable past singles. It may be wishful thinking, but instead of commemorating their greatest hits, we're awaiting new ones!

1. *NSYNC

The news is everywhere - Justin Timberlake is soon to be back with another solo album for the first time in 6 years! Though Timberlake's latest song "Suit & Tie" has already been released and fans everywhere are anticipating the drop of his new album "The 20/20 Experience," it's not too far-fetched to hope for an N'SYNC reunion, is it? Whether you were a Backstreet Boys fan or an *NSYNC supporter, we all miss the boy bands that once consumed our teenage years - the days when everyone was singing along to "Bye Bye Bye" and "Pop." With JT in the spotlight now, it's only appropriate to call back all of the other members and commence a reunion…right?
