Police continue to search for a 24-year-old man they believe shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and another person while they were sleeping in a San Bernadino mobile home park on Friday night.

Around 11:03 p.m. Friday, Arthur Raymond Uribe forced his way into a mobile home and two people, including a woman with whom Uribe apparently had a longterm relationship, according to the San Bernadino Police Department.

The motive of the shooting is unknown, but police believe Urib knew both victims.

The victims were taken to an area hospital and are expected to survive. Their names have not yet been released.

Authorities say that Uribe is on the run and is still armed and dangerous.

This is the second shooting this week in San Bernadino, following a New Year's Eve argument that left one man dead and three others injured.

The New Year's Eve shooting brought the city's total number of homicides to 47 in 2012, a sharp jump from the 30 reported in 2011, according to the San Bernadino Sun.
