Saying that the "massacres don't seem to stop," Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced a bill that would reinvigorate the expired assault weapons ban, and outlaw ammunition magazines with a capacity of over 10 rounds. Although acknoweldging the difficulties she and the bill's supporters would face in Congress, Feinstein insisted that if gun control advocates "stand up," the measure could pass.

The news conference at which Feinstein announced her bill was filled with victims of gun violence, Congressmen and -women, and members of law enforcement. A board featuring 10 different guns stood beside Feinstein as she discussed the necessity of this legislation. The bill's goal is to "dry up the supply of these weapons over time."
