The SAG awards have always been known to foreshadow the Oscars, so its a pretty big deal for actors in Holywood - especially considering it's the only award ceremony that honors actors only! No diretors, writers, or producers stealing the spolight here.

That means all the big names in TV and film will be in downtown Los Angeles this Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. But before you go placing bets, take a look at the nominees and predicted winners.

The three top contenders in film- with four nominations each- are undoubtedly “Lincoln”, “Les Miserables”, and “Silver Linings Playbook.” All three have big nominations including ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best supporting Actress/Actor.’ But the biggest feat will be the ‘Best Ensemble award’ which “Argo” is also nominated for. The Ben Affleck directed film won over Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” at the Golden Globes. Can “Lincoln” regain its status? I predict yes. But we’ll have to wait and see.

“Silver Linings Playbook” actress Jennifer Lawrence seems to be a SAG favorite and a top player for the ‘Best Actress’ award, while the winner for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ is predicted to be the lovley Anne Hathaway in “Les Miserables,” though she is going up against Maggie Smith’s performance in “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.”

The much-talked-about ‘Best Actor’ Award will be a tough one. Hugh Jackman, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Bradley Cooper are all the top contenders for their respective films “Le Mis”, “Lincoln”, and “Silver Linings Playbook,” but Denzel Washington and John Hawkes are also in the category. (As much as I love Bradley Cooper, how can I ever deny Denzel?) Either way, I predict the winner to be Daniel Day-Lewis in this category.

Yes, I know, it’s a lot to take in, so let's move on to something more digestible - television.

For the most part, the cable shows triumphed over the network shows in the TV categories. “Homeland”, “Madmen”, “Breaking Bad”, and “Boardwalk Empire” are the nominated dramas that are predicted to take home big wins.

As for Comedy, the SAG favorites are “The Big Bang Theory”, “30 Rock”, and “Modern Family,” which leave almost no room for the newbies- “New Girl”, “Girls”, and “Veep.”

The hit show “Homeland” on Showtime and its lead actors Damien Lewis and Claire Danes are predicted as big contenders in the TV race, especially seeing that the show has created lots of hype lately.

Until then, the anticipation will be killer! Check out the full list of nominees here and make sure to tune into the live show this Sunday, January 27, at 5pm PST on TNT and TBS.
