Iran is planning to develop advanced uranium enrichment machines to fuel nuclear power plants. Although the White House said it was not surprised at the news, it still believes that the underlying goal of Iran's nuclear development is to create weapons.

Iran will be adding centrifuge machines to its uranium enrichment plant, additions that would allow it to produce up to four times as much enriched uranium.

This news comes amid increased tensions in the Middle East.
