The classic tale of Hansel & Gretel receives a new twist in the latest action movie "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters," starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. The cast and crew gathered on Thursday night for the premiere of the film at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. 

In the movie, Renner and Arterton portray the grown versions of Hansel and Gretel, respectively, who hunt witches as a result of a previous near-death encounter with a witch. When summoned for a job in a small town to locate missing children, the two are ultimately faced with the truth of their past: why their father abandoned them in the forest at such a young age. 

My co-reporters and I had the pleasure of speaking with the director Tommy Wirkola, as well as other cast and crew members, about telling the story of the fairytale in a modern way. The video of the event can be found below.
