An explosion occurred at the Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) headquarters in Mexico City. CNN affiliate Foro TV is reporting that at least five employees are dead and 75 more were injured on Thursday because of the explosion inside the state-run oil company.

An evacuation ensued and at least 30 people are trapped inside the building. It's unclear what caused the explosion. However, it was Pemex's Twitter account that stated that there was an explosion in an administration building next to the headquarters.

Smoke was coming out from the building and several windows were shattered. Pemex has dealt with similar accidents before. 30 people died in a Pemex gas plant explosion in Northern Mexico last September.
