The good news is that Winter 2013's DineLA Restaurant Week offers just that, for 12 days of dining pleasure.

Starting Monday, January 21st, more than 250 restaurants in the Greater Los Angeles Area will offer fine dining discounts. The event will last until Friday, February 1st.

Because good food is not only delicious, but is a social bonding experience as well, this is the perfect opportunity to take the family, a date, or a group of friends out to dinner. Nothing brings more joy than good food and good company, especially when there's a discount involved, too.

These two weeks of indulgence will also present a chance to get out of your comfort zone and try something new and exotic. Perhaps some guava cheesecake from Loteria Grill, or vegan "crab cakes" at Mohawk Bend?

The first DineLA Restaurant Week of the year is sure to please tastebuds and wallets around the Southland, and maybe even open some minds to the multitude of delicious cuisines out there.
