So, who’s in for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”? The answer is apparently Jamie Foxx, fresh out of “Django Unchained,” and Paul Giamatti. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Chuck Lorre’s back with another comedy. This one, “Mom,” stars Anna Faris as “a recently sober single mother living in California’s wine country.” Allison Janney will be playing Faris’s mother. (Vulture)

Now that JJ Abrams is signed on to direct the upcoming “Star Wars” sequel, Lucasfilm has announced that it’s postponing the 3D-ization of the series prequels. (EW)

If you haven’t read that fantastic NYT piece on “The Canyons,” do it stat. Even if you haven’t, surprise: Lindsay Lohan’s co-star in the film, James Deen, openly called her out for being “childish.” (Celebuzz)

What happens when you take Brad Bird (“The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille”) and Damon Lindelof (co-creator and co-showrunner of “Lost”) and put them on the same project, at a studio with no less stature than Disney? A project named, mysteriously, “Tomorrowland.” Please please please let there be something related to Space Mountain (even tertiarily) in it. (The A.V. Club)
