The heirs to Steve Jobs' estate are in hot water with the designer of the late tech innovator's yacht.

The BBC reported Sunday French designer Philippe Starck is asking those handling the Apple founder's affairs to cough up 3 million euros, a third of the overall price tag on a "minimalist high-tech" yacht.

Though Jobs didn't live to see its initial launch, he and Starck worked on the project for five years.

According to a lawyer representing Starck's company Ubik, "These guys trusted each other, so there wasn't a very detailed contract."
