Adam Lanza forced his way into Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, killed 20 children and 6 adults, and then himself. Authorities are looking for evidence as to his motive, and have said that they "did produce some very good evidence" that can explain how and why the shootings occurred.

Police have stated that Lanza had three weapons during the attack - two handguns and an assault rifle - all registered to his mother, and a long gun was found in the car he drove to the school.

Even after increased security measures were taken by the school, there was "no way for students and teachers to protect themselves" after Lanza began shooting.
