An Afghan woman wearing a police uniform killed a U.S. police adviser on a compound in Kabul Monday.

Reuters reported a spokesman for the International Security Assistance Froce would only confirm that a "contracted civilian employee" had been killed in the "insider attack," the latest incident of violence against Western military personnel by Afghan forces.

Two Americans were shot and killed at the nearby Interior Ministry in February.

The woman thought to have shot the adviser is now in custody and being interrogated by Interior Ministry officials.
