Though President Barack Obama faced heavy criticism for his handling of the Benghazi embassy attacks and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton eventually took the blame, an official review of the security breach has concluded that the officials below Clinton are responsible, according to The Daily Beast.

Clinton asked an independent Accountability Review Board to review the situation, and on Tuesday night they posted their report.

We fixed [the blame] at the assistant secretary level which in our view is the appropriate place to look," said Thomas Pickering, a retired senior diplomat who chaired the Accountability Review Board, according to The Daily Beast.

After the report's publication, Eric Boswell, the assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security and Charlene Lamb, Boswell's deputy who was in charge of the operations center the night of the Benghazi attack, have both resigned.
