The U.S. Supreme court delayed its review of gay marriage in California by 10 days, according to lawyers involved in the case.

The Hollingsworth vs. Perry case will now be heard on Friday, Nov. 30. If the Supreme Court refuses to review the case, the previous ruling against Proposition 8 will hold.

A federal appeals court earlier this year said the 2008 ballot banning gay marriage was unconstitutional.
