Barack Obama leads Mitt Romney in Ohio 51 to 48 percent according to the Daily Beast's exit polls

MSNBC reported that seven percent of the votes have been counted.

The two candidates are tied in North Carolina, which was previously thought to be Romney territory.

The news comes while Obama and Romney continue racking up expected electoral votes in states that solidly blue and red.
