In "Monday Morning Brew" and "Wednesday Night Hype," I will write a journal of my fantasy football team and my journey through a 12-team league. In "Wednesday Night Hype," I share my thoughts and predictions on the fantasy week ahead, as well as my lineup for the week. In "Monday Morning Brew," I reflect on the choices I made and how well (or terribly) they panned out.

My Starting Team for Week 9:

QB - Tom Brady
WR 1 - Reggie Wayne
WR 2 - Brandon Marshall
RB 1 - Jamaal Charles
RB 2 - Marshawn Lynch
TE - Antonio Gates
W/R Flex - Kenny Britt
DEF: Miami

Bench:
Ben Roethlisberger (QB, PIT)
Donald Brown (RB, IND)
Jonathan Dwyer (RB, PIT)
Randall Cobb (WR, GB)
Darren McFadden (RB, OAK)

Kenny Britt killed me this week with a meager four points on just two catches. It's time to thow in the towel on the season for Britt. He has yet to get more than 70 yards receiving in any single game, and only has one TD on the year. Even as a desperation flex play, he's just not a viable option and you'd be better off rolling with a waiver wire pickup. I considered picking up Golden Tate as a plug n play this week, but I decided against it. Tate ended up with one recieving TD, and a throwing TD off of a trick gaget play to Sidney Rice.

No running back has been able to thrive in the Raiders offense all year, so don't count on any backups making any progress in the absense of Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson. Consider other options before turning to any Raiders back and proceed with caution.

I actually like Donald Brown moving forward. He's a guy that will always get between 50 and 100 all-purpose yards, so his floor is high for a flex play. The Colts play a relatively soft schedule to finish out the season, so look for Brown to continue to produce meager, but consistent numbers with a chance for TD here and there.

Antonio Gates has been able to string a few decent weeks together, and he has reestablished himself as a legit top 5 TE in fantasy. Start him with confidence moving forward as long as the TDs continue to come his way.

Defenses are hard to pick and hard to predict, and Miami really burned me this week, leaving me with -2 points. I think it's time to go back to the week to week matchup shuffle and see what happens. I'm in the process of aquiring the Tampa Bay Defense off waiver this week. They have a favorable matchup againt the turnover prone Carolina Panthers next week. Look to Tampa Bay if you need help at Defense. They are rolling.
